Cheese Dawgs sits comfortably on Mill Street in Bristol, offering a casual dining experience centered around hot dogs in a town where cheesesteaks and hoagies often dominate the food scene. This spot has carved out a niche for those looking for a quick, flavor-forward meal without the usual sandwich options.

The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, making it a convenient stop whether you’re grabbing a casual lunch, fueling up after work, or grabbing a simple dinner with family or friends. The presence of a tasting room and a well-regarded beer selection adds an unexpected layer for locals who appreciate pairing their dogs with a local brew or specialty beer, making it more than just a typical hot dog joint.

One practical highlight is the free parking available behind the building, along with a rear entrance that spares visitors from having to navigate the hill outside. Inside, the layout channels an easygoing vibe with stairs leading up past the bathrooms to a main floor that buzzes with regulars and newcomers alike.

The menu stays focused on its specialty: hot dogs with a variety of toppings, from classic Chicago-style to more inventive options like mac and cheese dogs. Portions and pricing seem well suited for families and groups looking for straightforward, satisfying meals without breaking the bank. Kids find something familiar here, while adults can explore more adventurous toppings and pairings, especially with the robust drink options available.

Overall, Cheese Dawgs is a neighborhood spot where the familiar meets a touch of creative flare in its hot dog offerings. It works best for those who want a no-fuss meal in a casual setting, especially during midday or early evening hours when the beer choices and lively tasting room bring a pleasant neighborhood buzz to the space.

First time here. Ordered the footlong Chicago hot dog with chips and Hank’s root beer. Delicious. Great stop for a hot dog!

Here's what you need to know about the new location. Free parking in the rear with plenty of it. You can also use the rear entrance, so you don't have to climb the Hill. Once inside, just go up the steps, just pass the Bathrooms and you'll be on the main floor. The food is still very good. The beer selection is phenomenal. The skinny is the big dogs are not big Anymore, but they are big on flavor. I would probably stay with the 3 For ten dollars Deal and get fries that they have never offered before. It's so pretty inside and so pretty outside. This should definitely be on your destination if in the Bristol area. I also wanted to point out there's many things to do in Bristol and along the river there's a library with outside seating, It's just up the street. A must see if you're in this location. We need many more businesses like this in this area, this is definitely prettier than New Hope, Fells point in Baltimore and many other locations that I've visited in my lifetime. What's sad to say is I've been in Pennsylvania for over 30 years. And never saw this location downtown. We've all driven through it, passed by it, been in or on the outskirts. Know of the Amish market up the street. But what's inside of town has been a big secret until now.

In the mood for a great hot dog? Stop here. Chicago & Trenton dogs were excellent. Kids enjoyed a regular dog & chips. Can’t beat the price.

I have stopped at Cheese Dawgs many times over the years and felt I should finally write my opinion. In a city with Hamburger, Cheesesteaks, and Hoagies on almost every corner Cheese Dawgs is a nice break for something different from time to time. Their main menu is Hot Dogs and they come in many selections and toppings. They have hot dogs from the original to unique ones like mac and cheese dogs. They also have a nice selection of other sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. And they have the best comfort food on those cold winter days, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. How can you go wrong with that combo. When you enter the store it is clean and inviting and the owner is great and and cooks a delicious hot dog. I highly recommend Cheese Dawgs any time of the day. You can even get your picture on the wall if you eat a massive hot dog in 10 minutes…

This was a great little find! I truly like their menu because they have things on here that you can’t really get everywhere else. You can always get pizza slices or burgers, cheesesteaks, or hoagies… But you can’t always get a simple hotdog, grilled cheese, or a side of regular kraft macaroni and cheese or baked beans. Not everyone wants french fries all the time, you know? It’s good to have variety. I popped in to check it out and I just grabbed a regular Texas chili dog. It had a nice flavor but I regret not getting more. The girl next to me had this delicious foot-long hotdog and a beautiful grill marks on it and I don’t know what she got on it as toppings but my little chili dog looks sad next to it. LOL! The prices weren’t too bad either. Very affordable. I had a nice chat with what I assume was the owner/cook and I let him know that I would definitely be back with my family since he has things on the menu that my extremely picky son will actually eat. It’s not a fancy place, and it’s not open late and it’s not open on Sundays, but it’s nice to know that there is something different around in the neighborhood.

Great food and great service. The restaurant is actually the kitchen for the Naked Brewery. So don’t look for the name but for the brewery. There is parking lot in the back of building which I didn’t know. The food was quick and delicious. I didn’t try the beer because it was too early for me and I had a long drive back to NYC later. If you do go, go to a dollar store and pick up some small gnomes. Patron has been hiding little gnomes in the cracks and on ceiling of the establishment. Pretty neat concept. You can swap them, trade them, place them or just take them. Fun idea. They have live music from Thursday to Saturday. Fun place to visit.
